Lawyers for former President Donald Trump and other defendants have filed a request to remove the Fulton County District Attorney, Fanni Willis, from the case, claiming that there is a conflict of interest in the prosecution by Ms. Willis. The defense has accused Ms. Willis of benefitting financially from a relationship with the lead prosecutor that she hired to manage the case – Mr. Nathan Wade. If she is removed, it would certainly delay the case, and could possibly derail the prosecution of Mr. Trump and other defendants in the Georgia election interference case.
