Tyler Robinson, the suspect in the Charlie Kirk shooting, has been charged with Aggravated Murder and six additional felony charges. Utah County Prosecuting Attorney, Jeff Gray, has indicated that the state will seek the death penalty. In addition to the Aggravated Murder charge, Mr. Robinson has been charged with two counts of Obstruction of Justice, one count of Felony Discharge of a Firearm Causing Serious Bodily Injury, two counts of Witness Tampering, and one count of Commission of a Violent Offense in the Presence of a Child. At his first court appearance, Utah’s Fourth District Court advised him of the charges, appointed an attorney to represent him and ordered him to be held without bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 29, 2025. Under Utah law, the firing squad is an available method of execution.
